Terms of Service
The rules for using Formwire's hosted form backend, dashboard, APIs, submission endpoints, and delivery features.
Last updated: June 26, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Formwire, a hosted form backend operated by Treve Technologies LLC. By creating an account, using the dashboard, sending requests to the API, submitting forms to Formwire endpoints, installing our packages, or using any hosted Formwire feature, you agree to these Terms.
If you use Formwire on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
The service
Formwire lets you create form endpoints, receive and store form submissions, block and quarantine spam, manage submissions in a dashboard, use API keys, and route submissions to email, webhooks, SMS, and auto-replies. We may add, change, or remove features as the service evolves.
Accounts and security
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting login links, passwords, API keys, webhook secrets, destination credentials, and devices used to access Formwire.
- You must notify us promptly at support@formwire.dev if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.
- You may not share access in a way that avoids plan limits, security controls, or billing requirements.
Your forms and submissions
You own the content and configuration you submit to Formwire. You grant Formwire the rights needed to host, process, store, transmit, display, and deliver that content solely to provide, secure, support, and improve the service and to comply with law.
You are responsible for the forms you publish, the data you collect, the destinations you configure, the notices you give visitors, and the lawful handling of submissions after Formwire delivers or exports them.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Formwire for spam, phishing, malware, credential harvesting, harassment, illegal activity, deceptive activity, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, plan limits, spam controls, authentication, authorization, billing, logging, or security measures.
- Do not overload, scan, scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with Formwire or its providers except as allowed by law.
- Do not collect highly sensitive regulated information, including protected health information, full payment card numbers, government IDs, or similar data, unless Formwire has expressly agreed in writing that the service is appropriate for that use.
- Do not configure email, SMS, webhooks, or auto-replies in a way that violates anti-spam, privacy, telecommunications, consumer protection, or platform rules.
Email, SMS, webhooks, and integrations
Delivery features depend on third-party networks and providers. You are responsible for destination accuracy, recipient consent, message content, webhook security, endpoint availability, and compliance with applicable email, SMS, privacy, and marketing laws.
We may throttle, delay, retry, quarantine, disable, or refuse deliveries to protect Formwire, users, recipients, providers, or third parties.
Plans, fees, and limits
Some Formwire plans are free and some are paid. Plan features, submission limits, retention, pricing, and billing terms are shown in the dashboard or on the website and may change over time. Taxes may apply.
If you exceed plan limits, Formwire may continue accepting submissions, limit features, pause delivery, ask you to upgrade, or otherwise enforce the applicable limits. We try to avoid surprise overage charges unless a paid overage arrangement is clearly presented and accepted.
Open source and packages
Formwire may publish open source code, CLI tools, React packages, examples, or self-hosting materials. Those materials may be governed by separate open source licenses or package terms. The hosted Formwire service remains governed by these Terms.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using Formwire, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Formwire at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or others, fail to pay amounts due, or use Formwire in a way that may cause legal, security, operational, or reputational harm.
After termination, we may delete or disable access to your account, forms, submissions, API keys, and destinations, subject to backups, logs, billing records, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and legitimate business needs.
Service availability
We work to keep Formwire reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, provider outages, network failures, abuse prevention, emergencies, or factors outside our control.
Disclaimers
Formwire is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and security.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Formwire and Treve Technologies LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, or substitute services.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for all claims relating to Formwire is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or 100 USD.
Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Formwire and Treve Technologies LLC from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your forms, submissions, destinations, use of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of law or third-party rights.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The parties consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state or federal courts located in Florida for disputes that are not subject to another required forum.
Changes
We may update these Terms as Formwire changes. If a change is material, we will provide notice through the website, dashboard, email, or another reasonable method. Continued use of Formwire after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
